Orgia

Orgia is an ancient Latin term that was used by poets and thinkers of that time to generally describe religious utensils. (Since the 17th century, its meaning has changed.) Liturgical utensils of this kind are depicted on the lightboxes distributed throughout the church space. Objects from everyday church life were selected, whose function is not immediately apparent at first glance. A naming and explanation of these objects follows acoustically, in the form of advertising announcements that can be heard in the church space. Taking inspiration from supermarket advertisements, the audio files draw on original texts from various church supply providers.
